For the entire month of July, museums, parks and other archaeological sites throughout Tuscany will open their doors, offering special events and night tours: it's the 16th edition of The Nights of Archaeology.

The music and theatre festival that is held every year in July in the Fonte Mazzola Amphitheatre in the hills of Peccioli. Night after night, the festival hosts performances by artists, comedians, theatre companies, singers and orchestras.

Roman Theatre Festival

A programme filled with events that will take place inside the archaeological site, along a route that leads to the auditorium, where the audience will watch the performances held on the ancient Roman stage.

The project that marries opera with the tasting of high-quality wines. Giacomo Puccini's Tosca will open the festival at Ginori Castle in Querceto on Sunday 6th July at 9pm.

An evening dedicated to high-quality wine and good food in the streets and squares of the old village. The event includes a guided tour of the archaelogical sites of Terricciola, with a tasting of wine produced 'the Etruscan way'.
Waiting for the Battle

To commemorate the historic battle of 1364, Cascina is whisked off to the 14th century, plunging visitors into the Middle Ages with knights, ladies, jesters, dancers and flag-wavers.
